Finally, the Ryzen 4000 would be ready sooner than expected

The processor desktop Ryzen 4000 AMD are about to go into mass production. In any case, this seems to be the case with a report by Igorslab, which promises a launch in 2020.

Only a few weeks ago, the trend was to postpone for next year. The impact of the coronavirus pandemic would not have really shaken AMD's plans, which had quickly clarified the situation.

Before the end of the year

According to the new report, the Ryzen 4000 processors have reached stage B0. In technological jargon, this is synonymous with finalized versions, ready to be launched in their mass production.

A few months before their release, last year's Ryzen 3000 processors had been spotted in their B0 stage, a sign of good omen for the Ryzen 4000.

Based on this information and assuming that it will take about three to four months for stocks to be large enough, the date of publication before the end of the year seems rather well indicated.

AMD has a choice

It is not yet known when these processors could be launched. It is rumored that AMD will unveil them in September. As for the date of their release, it would be in October, or even in the last months of 2020.

Recall that for its part, Intel has nothing planned, at least in the market for desktop processors. The Rocket Lake-S will not arrive until next year, which gives AMD considerable room for maneuver.

Finally, the XT versions arrive on July 7, 2020 (Ryzen 5 3600XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT). What to wait before really discovering the power of Zen 3 architecture. What is certain is that the Ryzen 4000 will be well engraved in 7 nm, and not in 5 nm.
